Depression and Low Mood

We all feel down and low from time to time. If you have noticed you stay low then you might be experiencing depression.  Symptoms include feeling down depressed and hopeless, and loosing interest in things.  Physical feelings include change in appettite, feeling exhausted, difficulty sleeping and feeling achy.

Your depression may have been triggered by a difficult event in your life or may have come out of the blue.  Either way CBT could help you.

If you are feeling low or depressed and would like to try CBT please contact us to arrange an initial consultation.

Anxiety

Anxiety can come in many forms including Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), specific phobias and social anxiety.

You may be feeling worried, having panic attacks, seeking reassurance, avoiding places or activities, having intrusive thoughts and compulsions or be anxious when you are around other people.

Anxiety disorders can cause a huge impact on your life and may also start to make you feel depressed.

CBT is a recommended treatment for anxiety.  In therapy you will learn to understand how your anxious thoughts, avoidance and safety behaviours are maintaining the anxiety.    Then you will learn to test your anxious thoughts in a step by step way.

If you are feeling anxious and would like to arrange an appointment to discuss if CBT would be beneficial please contact us
